Awakener Tier Lists (For New Players)¶

This is a quick guide for new players who are just starting out and want to know what characters they should invest in to progress the fastest.

There are two tier lists provided here. The DPS Tier List is for the main damage dealer that a team is built around. The Support Tier List is for the other 3 characters who help to enable the DPS.

These are “poverty newbie tier lists.” They assume you're a new player and your goal is to do story stages, event stages, and D-tide Normal and Hard difficulty. They also assume the character is at most E3 and you don’t have many limited awakeners or SSR wheels.

If an enlighten is specified, it means it’s important for the character to work. Without that enlighten, the character will be one or two tiers lower on the tier list.

Keep in mind that the actual performance of a character will depend on the stage.

The order of characters in each tier doesn’t matter. They're listed in realm order.

There are no useless characters in this game. With enough investment and patience, most stages can be beaten with anything. This tier list just tells you how much work it takes to make a character viable.

Newbie DPS Tier List¶

A yellow bar ■ means it’s a free character you can get without using pulls.

A blue bar ■ means it’s a standard character you can get with Pure Cores.

If a character isn’t listed, it means you would need a crazy reason to use them as a DPS.

S (Newbie Solo Carry)¶

These characters need very little investment to clear Normal and Hard stages, and are excellent support awakeners to borrow for event stages and D-Effect Zone.

A (Great in Hard Difficulty)¶

These characters deal enough damage to clear Normal and Hard stages as main DPS, even with a suboptimal team.

B+ (Great in Normal Difficulty)¶

These characters deal enough damage to clear Normal stages as main DPS, even with a suboptimal team. However, they need specific teammates or high investment to beat Hard stages.

B (Viable with Support)¶

These characters deal enough damage to clear Normal stages as main DPS, but they need specific teammates or high investment to work well.

C (Not Recommended)¶

These characters need an unrealistic amount of effort for a new player to clear normal story mode with. They can be used as the main DPS in early chapters, but are better used later on as supports or secondary DPS.

Newbie Support Tier List¶

S (Meta Defining)¶

These characters are extremely powerful supports that are good in many different teams. As a new player, you should strongly consider investing in them.
