Karen is a dedicated support for generating arithmetica. Her exalt gives you a card called Marvelous Cuisine, which is effectively 3 arithmetica that you can cash in at any time. (Black Lotus, anyone?)

At E3, Marvelous Cuisine also grants random beneficial effects, which can include weakness and vulnerable if you're lucky (or retry over and over).

While Karen’s cards are not very powerful, Toad Stew provides a reliable source of weakness. Her skills also have retain, allowing you to keep them in your hand and effectively thin your deck.

In Astral Reign stages, Karen’s soulforge talent boosts her poison application by a lot, and makes her usable as a secondary DPS if roused.

How to Play¶

Use Karen’s exalt to get Marvelous Cuisine. Play it when you need arithmetica.

You can play her cards for weakness and a bit of healing, or keep them in hand if it isn’t needed.

Teambuilding¶

Karen is used to support DPS that need a lot of arithmetica, like Kathigu-Ra, Tawil, and GLotan.

High Investment¶

Karen’s OE generates two extra copies of Marvelous Cuisine: one in your Draw Pile and one in your Discard Pile. This makes Karen one of the most powerful arithmetica supports if you have the opportunity to set up her OE before the boss fight.
