Ramona: Timeworn (“GRamona”) is a complex but versatile keyflare support. In addition to her decent keyflare generation, she brings three useful abilities to the team.

Firstly, she can search your Draw Pile for any card with Sight Unbound. This isn’t as powerful as base Ramona’s exalt, but it remains useful for teams that rely on specific cards.

Secondly, she can use her exalt to bring back the last 3 cards you played the turn before. You can use this simply as a kind of card draw, but if you plan ahead and set it up, you can assemble powerful combo turns with characters like Mouchette.

Thirdly, at E3, she can temporarily replace your posse with any other posse you've unlocked. This is one of the most versatile abilities in the game. For example, you can get Voices In Your Head for weakness and vulnerable on demand. You can also use it for aliemus, shields, arithmetica, card draw, Crit Rate buffs, and more.

DPS Build¶

In addition to her support build, GRamona can be built as a DPS focusing on Predetermined Strike. If you use your posse enough times in one fight, Predetermined Strike amasses a very high STR multiplier and hits like a truck.

The downside is that this build takes a long time to get going, and requires you to have a lot of unlocked posses, so it isn’t very practical for new players.

How to Play¶

Support: Play GRamona’s cards to get keyflare. Use Sight Unbound to search for cards you need.

GRamona’s exalt can change your posse to Voices In Your Head if you need weakness and vulnerable, or A Gun’s Cry for Crit Rate, Warded Injection for healing, etc.

Keep track of the cards you play each turn. If you end your turn with a sequence of three good cards (such as three of Mouchette’s strikes), you can use GRamona’s exalt to bring them back the turn after and do it again.

DPS: Stall as long as possible while building STR and using dual posse every turn. Eventually, Predetermined Strike will deal a lot of damage. Try to play it as the last card each turn so you can use GRamona’s exalt to get more copies of it.

Teambuilding¶

Support: GRamona is mainly used as a support for the specific DPS who can make use of the cards from her exalt. Mouchette is the biggest winner, since she can get back a Strike, Mortal Blast, and Shining Crush to repeat her burst combo. Less commonly, Kathigu-Ra can get Hyperflare, while GLotan can get a bunch of strikes and Long Blade: Perish.

GRamona can bring back Tawil's discovered cards, which opens up a lot of possibilities, like stalling with defensive cards in a Mono Chaos team.

DPS: GRamona needs a lot of time to scale Predetermined Strike, so she appreciates defensive teammates like Kathigu-Ra and Caraboo. She also benefits from supports that can grant STR and copy Predetermined Strike, such as Thais and Hameln.
