Ogier's exalt makes a good amount of shield and temporary STR. In Mono Chaos teams, where Realm Mastery gives a lot of aliemus, this makes him a respectable shielder and buffer.

Ogier needs high investment to perform well at endgame, since all of his value is in his raw numbers. Luckily, since he's a starter character, he's one of the cheapest units to get to +12.
